When replacing a condenser fan motor with the Genteq 3905, verify more than the cross-reference number. Match the voltage, RPM, rotation, shaft dimensions, mounting configuration, amperage, horsepower, and capacitor requirement.
Important Horsepower Note
Some cross-referenced OEM motors were originally rated at 1/5 HP, while the Genteq 3905 is rated at 1/4 HP.
This is especially important when replacing motors associated with 1086598, K55HXHDD-8562, HC37GZ003B, and 5KCP39BGZ256S. Verify the equipment and original motor specifications before installation rather than assuming interchangeability based only on a cross-reference.
The 3905 requires a 5 MFD / 370 VAC run capacitor. The capacitor is not included.

Had a power outage last night and during the 100 degree heat today noticed that the AC was not blowing any cold air. Pulled the capacitors to have them checked and also took video of the relay making noise even with the breaker was off. The proprietor and her staff were very friendly and helpful. She had the video analyzed and confirmed something was wrong. She checked one of the capacitors was a little low. Capacitor replacement is the biggest ticket item for HVAC repair.
